International Tenants’ Day (ITD), celebrating the rights of tenants, falls in 2019 on Monday 7 October. Canberra’s ITD celebrations include an art exhibition and competition in Gallery Two of the Tuggeranong Arts Centre, showcasing the talent and diversity of tenants (and other renters) around Canberra and responding to the theme “A sense of home”.
The exhibition, opening on the evening of Wednesday 3 October, will close on Saturday the 26th, and all visitors to the exhibition will be able to submit a vote for a People’s Prize until the 19th. An award ceremony at 1 p.m. on Saturday the 19th will include the People’s Prize, and those who voted for that prize will enter a draw on that date for a $50 voucher.
