Celebrated local pianist Wayne Kelly introduces his promising young student to Canberra’s music lovers.
At 51 years young and loving life, Wayne still has a lot more to give musically, is excited about the future and looking forward to playing at Smiths where he will present his own compositions, Joplin, Chopin, Boogie woogie and more…
“I particularly like solo piano and crooning. I like the intimacy of it… I hope you enjoy this performance from myself and my student Liam.”
Liam Martin started music at the age of 7 playing mainly classical/grading pieces. During college he grew more towards jazz and rock.
He is excited to be playing his first gig at smiths presenting some classic pop and rock tunes and sprinkling in some jazz instrumentals by George Gershwin, Hoagy Carmichael and Billy Joel.
