The team behind You Are Here, Ketura & Nick, have some very fabulous news to share with us. Plus a call for your donations to help Cahoots shine bright. Take it away…
“We are absolutely blown away by the generosity of our community!
We are now halfway to our fundraising target. Saying ‘thank you’ doesn’t even begin to cover how grateful we are, but we’ll say it anyway! The biggest, warmest THANK YOU to everyone who has supported our campaign so far!! It means so much to us xx
We also have some *very* exciting news!!
You Are Here has been successful in securing Creative Australia activity funding for a second time, which means Cahoots Lab will be back in 2025!! We are absolutely THRILLED to have secured funding for a portion of our 2025 program, and to receive recognition of the benefits our program delivers to the creative community.
However… as we shared a couple of weeks ago, Creative Australia funding is only one part of the puzzle. We’re holding both the good news and the uncertainty of our future in our hearts and minds.
We still have a big funding gap to cover if we are going to bring back the full Cahoots program.
The residency and the Lab are separate programs, but they go hand in hand. We need to run both to offer the full Cahoots experience of practice development, community building, and making art!!
The donation campaign we are running right now will help us “keep the lights on” for the rest of 2024, while we work towards securing more funding for the Cahoots residency.
With just 2 days remaining before our campaign ends, now is the time to donate!!
A little math…
We’re at 50% of our goal. Here’s what we would need to reach it:
- 1000 people donate $10
- 500 people donate $20
- 200 people donate $50
- 100 people donate $100
- 20 people donate $500
As you can see, if lots of people make a littler donation, or a few people make a bigger donation, either way, we can get there!! Remember, everything from $2 up is tax deductible, smaller and larger amounts are equally meaningful and helpful, literally every dollar counts! And if you can’t donate yourself, we’d be so grateful if you share our campaign with someone who can 🙂
We have been so touched by all those who have shared messages of support and solidarity. We know there is a lot of love out there for You Are Here – so many people have made amazing art and had a great time seeing art through the festival and Cahoots… YAH is coming up on our 15th birthday next year and we’re depending on you all to help us survive til then and thrive into the future!
