Gawurra Gaykamangu is a Yolngu artist hailing from Milingimbi (Yurrwi), North East Arnhem Land. A respected song man, Gawurra seeks to connect his culture to all peoples through music and storytelling. Singing in his native tongue of Gupapuynga, his voice is resonant and his culture, beliefs and personal journey are embedded deeply in his songs. William Crighton is a a visionary lyricist, creating powerful and immersive rock music with a conscience. His new album ‘Empire’ has been hailed as ‘the best Australian album of the year’ by Hodoo Gurus Dave Faulkner in The Saturday Paper.
