Join us for the launch of What We Carry, a powerful new anthology on childbearing, bringing together the voices of more than 60 contemporary Australian poets.
Edited by Ella Kurz, Simone King and Claire Delahunty, this work illuminates the endlessly different ways the potential to carry life is experienced. Share in stories of love, frustration, despair and elation, and learn a little more about the meaning of life. The collection will be introduced by Prime Minister’s Literary Award-winning poet, Melinda Smith, and poems will be read by Rose Lucas, Jacqui Malins, Miriam Wei Wei Lo, Esther Ottaway and Quinn Eades, to name just a few. Canberra musical trio, Lady Luck, will bring a number poems to life through song, and a series of soundscapes.
