The Burley Griffin: Lost Limbs Album Launch w/ Happy Axe

The Burley Griffin, led by Evan Buckley and featuring Canberra’s finest talent, invite you to the launch of their long-awaited new record, Lost Limbs.

After an East coast tour with Cathy Diver in January 2020 all plans promptly ground to a halt, but now the chrysalis is ready to breach and The Burley Griffin are thrilled to share with you the unravelling of silken wings and other such things. Poetry of the emergent soul and songs of exultant mammalian spirit. Triumph, defeat, late night treats, all distilled into an evening.

Recorded over several years and hundreds of hours of detailed attention by Lou Montgomery, Lost Limbs features the musicianship of Tate Sheridan, Sam King (Burrows), Emma Kelly (Happy Axe) and Rowan Phemister, alongside band members Steve Fitzgerald, Sam McNair, and Steve Paillas.

A fresh new line-up features Hannah Beasley (PAINTonPAINT), Michael Bones (Reverend Bones), Clarke Finn (Endrey) and string section for the evening comprised of Emma Kelly and Grahame Thompson.

Lost Limbs will be available for purchase on vinyl and will be performed in full on the night, alongside an array of other beloved Burley bangers.

This event will be a spectacle like no other, as moving songs are brought to life with rich instrumental arrangements, stunning visuals, and a few theatrical surprises.

Featuring support from Canberra expat Happy Axe, the night will be one to remember.

Tickets are $25/$29 from venue website.
