Kicking off an epic event program to celebrate the Australian National Botanic Gardens’ 50th Anniversary, Summer Sounds 2020 is set to entertain the whole family this summer. With a great line-up of local musicians and dance talent spread across three weekend in January and February, Summer Sounds 2020 will get you moving and grooving to the sounds of your favourite top 40 hits through to the smooth sounds of jazz. They’ll be heaps to entertain the kids too inside the Gumnut Hut with face-painting, storytelling, and craft activities.
If you’re sticking around Canberra for Australia Day, come to the Gardens, bring your Aussie flag and thongs and sing your hearts out at the special Australia Day concert – paying tribute to Aussie rock and pop legends. Don’t worry about packing beer or snags because the Gardens have got that covered!
Summer Sounds is a picnic haven, but if picnics are not your thing then grab a bite to eat the concerts. They’ll be a mobile bar, coffee, woodfired pizza, gelato and French crepes.
