Sounds from the Suburbs w/ Lachlan X. Morris, Lady Denman, and Paint Store

Homegrown Sounds is proud to present Sounds from the Suburbs – our series of all ages live music gigs, showcasing the best in local and interstate music in the heart of Canberra’s inner-north suburbs.

Returning Saturday 24 July, Gang Gang Cafe will see Lachlan X. Morris return to the nation’s capital to celebrate his new album ‘Muscle Memory’, and joining the Newcastle artist will be local favourites Lady Denman and Paint Store.

Lachlan X. Morris’ appearance comes as part of his recently announced ‘Step On It!’ east coast tour, where he’ll be stopping by the Central Coast and Sydney, and heading home to play in Maitland and Newcastle before making the drive back down to Canberra. It’s the first time Lachlan has been able to share his fourth album release on the road, after releasing ‘Muscle Memory’ in late 2020, and it’s our pleasure to warmly welcome Lachlan back into the ACT.

Lady Denman are a band many will describe as “loads and loads of fun”, coming together to make playful folk tunes through sweet rhythms and dreamy violins. The band made of velvet head-to-toe don’t fall short in making a room full of people smile and dance, with a setlist anyone can’t help but fall in love with.

Paint Store do much the same through experimental, jangling guitars that pulse in and out of each song, leaving anyone in the room on the edges of their seats to which direction the song will take next. The alt post-punk band released their debut album ‘Maybe’ in mid 2020, and after listening you’ll be able to see why this band is worth coming to see live.

Licensed / All Ages.

Tickets $17.35 via Moshtix.
