From My Mother Unto Me, curated by Erin Vink, a Ngemba woman with Anglo-Australian/Dutch heritage, features the work of six female First Nation artists from various parts of Australia. These women have considered and visually responded to their family histories, lived experiences, creative practices and the knowledge that has been handed down to them from their mothers, grandmothers or matriarchal figures.
Erin Vink is a is a writer, a researcher and an art curator. Erin currently works as the inaugural Indigenous art curator at the Australian War Memorial, Canberra where she is responsible for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art collection.
