The composition of Mozart’s final work, a Requiem commissioned by a mystery guest, is the stuff of legend. Completed after his death, the score of the Requiem has remained dubious and controversial. Gordon Hamilton’s new version ‘Recomposed’ gives Mozart’s sketches the Max Richter treatment, throwing new contemporary light on this sacred classic score. The concert starts with Kristian Winther and Anna da Silva Chen sparring in the violin high jinx of Paganini’s caprices.
