CIMF – Greatest Mozart II (6:30pm)

The musicians of the Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra conclude their CIMF residence with two of Mozart’s greatest chamber works on period instruments. The bitter-sweet G Minor Piano quartet pre-empts the 40th Symphony in more ways than one. But the Clarinet Quintet written for basset clarinet (a classical clarinet with extended lower register) is totally unique. As is Nicole van Bruggen, the orchestra’s protagonist.

Due to COVID-19 this event will be run twice:

Monday May 3, 6:30pm
Monday May 3, 8:30pm

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Piano Quartet in G Minor KV 478

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Clarinet Quintet in A KV 581

Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra

Nicole van Bruggen, basset clarinet
